Ms. Cait Plantaric will make a presentation on the 1940 flood which inundated much of the Sacramento Valley to extents even greater than the 1986 and 1997 floods. Despite that fact, the 1940 flood and its impacts have largely been forgotten. Ms. Planteric will share what she’s learned through her personal research, including captivating stories about flood survivors and victims. An overview of the Mid and Upper Sacramento River Regional Conservation Investment Strategy will immediately follow.
